I really love the taboo aspect of a doctor/patient dynamic. I was looking forward to seeing how the Daddy dynamic would play into this without crossing the line of abuse of power. One thing I did feel was that the insta-love seemed to fall at the end of their story, missing a bit of the backstory. I'm not sure that I understand why the turning of age was a sudden distinction to finding one another attractive. It seemed a bit too far fetched.
Overall, it was a sweet low angst story, and I did eventually come to love the two MCs, but the beginning was slow for me to connect to.

Gianni Holmes’ has written a very sweet low-angst Daddy/boy romance. I do love all her Daddy kink books. In fact, Declan and Owen (from her Taking Care series) were my introduction to a Daddy/boy relationship, and I’ve loved this kink ever since. Malcolm and Austin were no exception. This lovely romance just made me happy.
I wanted to cuddle sweet, sweet Austin. His bubbly personality and ability to put others first made me love him even more. He needed someone who would take care of him in the way that he deserved, and Malcolm was definitely the man for the job. It took me a little longer to warm up to Malcolm (particularly after Austin’s birthday party), but once he was in, he was all in. The way he loved Austin was amazing.
Though they faced quite a few obstacles, they handled everything in a mature manner. There were no miscommunication issues and they talked things out. I really appreciated that. Even when they had to figure out how to change their relationship from doctor/patient to boyfriends the minor problems were addressed quickly and not drawn out into forced drama.
I liked the side characters as well. Austin’s mom, Mr. Evans, and Malcolm’s brother were entertaining. I would have liked to have seen more of Bert (Austin’s friend). It seemed strange that he wasn’t really there in the last 50% of the book. I was also curious if anything happened with the other doctor who seemed to be trying to get Malcolm in trouble because of his relationship. Not that I wanted to read more about the troublemaker, I was just curious about what happened there.
I really, really enjoyed this story. It made me so happy and I cannot wait to read more about Malcolm and Austin (especially Austin’s lab coat fantasy

To Not Fall For My Doc is a really sweet romance with a relationship developing between an oncologist and his patient. I wasn't too sure on that premise but the author handles it very well.
Austin is two years clear of Hodgkin's lymphoma but still sees his doc, Dr Greer every three months and most times when he volunteers at the treatment centre, visiting patients and spreading his general positive disposition amongst them. Dr Greer is always aware of Austin and is dealing with the fact that he's attracted to his patient.
When it's discovered that the feelings are mutual, I liked the way that played out, not marring the doctor/patient relationship apart from the perception of other doctors which cannot be helped.
Both men are sweet and endearing in their passion for wanting to help others. Austin has been through so much and it's wonderful how upbeat he is in his daily life and Malcolm works hard to do all he can for his patients. When it came to their relationship, they make a lovely couple though for me things moved a little quickly, the MCs feeling those emotions before I did. It's very light on the daddy/boy aspect. Malcolm very much liking to care for and look after his boy which Austin slowly comes to accept and enjoy.
Overall, this is an enjoyable story, quite light on the angst level considering what Austin has been through and where parts of the story take place. Slight trigger warning that a side character passes away off page.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I think a more appropriate title would have been The Simple Rules To Not Fall For My Patient as that’s where the most angst was. Their relationship didn't really click much for me and seemed to be really fast after Austin's break up and I didn't feel the Daddy/Boy aspect of their relationship much just in the fact that Malcolm didn't want Austin to work or have to do anything at all. It all felt a little forced and rushed for them getting together and making a life together.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review
This is such a sweet and heartwarming love story. I fell in love with Malcolm and Austin right from the start. They make you believe in love and forever. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
