Plot or Character Driven: Character

I'm not a teddy bear person but Paddington makes me want to go out and get a bear

I think the fact that I have to work so hard on plots for my own books, it aggravates me in these children's classics that they tend not to have plots, but are simply episodic vignettes of quirky characters. Kids enjoyed it.

I love Paddington so I really enjoyed ready this! Each chapter could be a book in their own right.

this bear lights me up inside I love him so much cries

dont @ me, the book was great and I’d highly recommend Stephen Fry’s narration!!

made me happy when sad!! so cute!

4 stars for the sheer cuteness of if all :)

okay. so i've had paddington read to me over the course of the past month in bits and pieces and this cute little bear had me cracking up. he's silly, sweet and his innocence gets into lots of hiccups. perfect for those of you that are having a hard time finding age-appropriate books for your budding readers. my 6YO loves this. looking for the rest in the series of books for her.

On one hand, this is an adorable story. On the other hand, I have a secret conspiracy that Paddington is secretly a villain, sneaking into the Brown's household and literally tearing it apart. He causes massive water damage by overflowing the bathtub. He nearly gets arrested. He causes the family to nearly have heart attacks several times. Sounds like he is secretly trying to destroy their lives while they are blinded by his cuteness...just a theory.
