Cute and silly, A Bear Called Paddington was a pleasant listen. Not the greatest book, but definitely fun for kids, and not insufferable for adults, either; it's deserving of its status as a children's classic. The audiobook's British narration definitely adds to the charm. Admittedly, it wasn't as engaging as my recent reads, and it took me a few days to get through it despite its extremely short length (less than 3 hours). Nothing I'll re-read again anytime soon, but also one I definitely don't regret reading.
So adorable... a fun trip back down memory lane. I used to love the Paddington cartoon show on TV so it was nice to read it's source material.

I remember a librarian suggesting this book to me as a kid. I just couldn't get into it. Listening to it with my daughter now was very enjoyable though.

Listened to the audiobook/read with my 4- and 5-year-olds. They were only mildly interested. Perhaps I should have waited until they were a bit older.
These stories were fun to read with my 5 year old. He enjoyed the scrapes Paddington gor himself into. Audio Stephen Fry
I never read these as a kid, but it's come up in conversation recently so I thought I'd give it a go. I listened to the audiobook version read by Stephen Fry so that was a treat. Solid kid's story, but nothing incredibly captivating to me or amazing life lesson. I probably wouldn't buy it for my kids, but I'd read it to them if they were gifted the books. (If they ever exist.)
