“there is so much love inside of us. how do we become worthy of it?”

i saw this book in the library and loved it so decided to get it (yes sorry i did judge a book by its cover)

this was a book about a lifelong friendship and the impact that a cancer diagnosis has on someone’s own personal community

this book honestly made me feel like i was there and hearing all these stories in person

ash uses humour and sex as a coping mechanism and i kinda love this for her

also some epic quotes used throughout ⭐️

I'm DNFing at 28% there's no way I'm gonna be able to finish this and I've tried enough I don't want to get into another slump.

I just can't get into it, the concept is wonderfull but I'm not sure about the execution.
Sometimes it feels like a blur of thoughts, not structured enought to make any sence to the reader and half the time I had no idea who was talking or what was going on but eitherway I couldn't be bothered enough to try.

Thank you Netgalley, Random House UK, Transworld Publishers & Doubleday for the digital ARC.

I didn’t think I would laugh as much as I did reading a book focusing on someone dying in hospice, but this book really did make me laugh out loud at times. It also made me tear up, and think about the ones I love (and the ones who love me), what I would want said at my own funeral, what I will one day say at my loved one’s funerals…it made me think about the family we have and the family we create, and how we can be so lucky to have the two merge together and create one large loving community. A beautiful book.
