5 stars!
First time reading:
I feel in love with this book!
Argh! The characters! The humour! Just everything is fantastic!
Second time reading:
Upon reading this books for the second time I found myself loving this book more than I have ever done. I love the way the plot is written and how well the characters are written. We dont have flat characters or plot. This book is filled with humour which just makes the reading experience so much better and makes you laugh out loud while reading it. Our main set of cast is bloody great. The demon and the angel, how can you not love them? I can't wait to read this again! This has to be an all time favourite! I love it so so so much!
Third time reading:
After having read this book three times now I am still in love with the characters and the plot. but this time I focused more on the writing. I love the way it was structured and how well it was written. The way they played with the words and humour made the book so much better. It would have been doll without it. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett will forever be my inspiration when it comes to writing and storytelling. The way that our characters are written, they feel like feel people and someone (most of them) that you actually care for and could hang out with. They have so much personality even if you only have them for a page or two, you still will love them. They leave something behind them, they mean something to the story.

I did NOT enjoy this. The waffle-style of Pratchett was so tiresome, I ended up having to finish over half the book in audiobook form (which I don't like to do, but I was so bored by the novel that I wanted to be able to do things with my day while still reading it, so that was helpful). I know this is a popular book, but I honesty don't understand why that is. I was hoping for it to be more Gaiman-heavy, but it seems to me that the book is much more heavily influenced by Pratchett, and, evidently, I do not like his writing style. Some parts were genuinely funny, and the story is very clever, just poorly executed. I wish I had skipped reading it and just watched the TV show, to be honest.

I feel like I only caught half of the jokes, and those I feel like I only got because I was imagining David Tennant (i don’t think I watched the whole series)
Kind of hard to pay attention to and I feel like I’ll prefer the show… like another review said I was surprised that we kept switching POV (hate that) and we didn’t actually get our MCs for like 60% of the story.
