Can I please give this book more than 5 stars? I loved this book, as I have loved all the books in this series. I can only hope that we will be getting more.
3-8-25 A re-read of the series after finishing [book:Free from Falling|221165438]. This is such a wonderful series that is on my all-time favorites list and will stay there. I think I love it even more after the 2nd read.

Oh and it gets better. This is my favorite so far.
The stories are basic but yet so entertaining. The author does not have to do too much to get me my attention.
The characters supported each other in different ways. This is pure unconditional love.❤️

Okay hear me out. I can’t with the cheesy poetry, it totally took me out of the book every damn time. I’m not big on poetry in general (which is a crazy thing to say but I stand by it) and the whole tumblr teen poet vibe was so cringey to me. Next up is the fact that these 17 year olds were talking about marriage and adopting this baby. Like HUH???? I’m sorry but that was just baffling to me I could not get with it and I couldn’t ignore their ages. If they were like in college sure maybe I wouldn’t have found it so weird but MAN. When I was 17 there was not a frontal lobe to be found and I wouldn’t have trusted her with anything, let alone an entire ass baby (with crazy health issues too!!) And it’s like yeah, you did spend the entire book emphasizing how these guys have trauma and are mature for their age but damn just let them be kids why do we have to throw a baby into the mix. Anyways baby hate rant over, despite everything I did still like the book and found it mostly cute but it just did not hit as good as I’d hoped. (also-this is totally me being picky but rome and damien were lowkey boring characters, I kept waiting for more personality other than gruff and charismatic to emerge and it just kinda didn’t)
Sorry for the long ass pissy review this book really doesn’t deserve all this I’m just in a mood

Adorable. My one complaint is how big a deal it was holding hands. I LOVE to see a couple who actually COMMUNICATE though

Not sure how I haven't written a review for this book yet?!
This book has become one of my all time favorite comfort reads. I mean. How could you not just fall head over ass in love with a book that has this:
Damien, who wants to know Rome’s weaknesses not so he can use those weaknesses against him, but so he can know how to love Rome better. Maybe. Or, maybe not love. He wonders if it is love though. He wants it to be love.
and this:
“Go fuck yourself,” Damien says genially.
“Fuck me yourself, you coward.”
Damien trips on his skates.
“Oh shit,” Rome says. “Are you okay?”
and this?
He doesn't have words for this kind of thing.
But 'love' seems really fucking trite for all the whatever that he feels. Or maybe other people shouldn't be allowed to use the word 'love' because they can't possibly mean it the way he does.”
