Oh my gosh I think this is my new favourite book in the Lovewell series!! I absolutely loved Pascal and Parker, even when they drove me crazy haha.

Paz was quite the enigma. On the one hand he was an uptight butthole and on the other he was a precious, vulnerable sweetheart who only wanted the best for others. Parker really bought the second half out of him and I loved their relationship together. I also love that he fell first

Okay, this is my new favorite of the series. I’ll have to eat my words if I love the fourth book more than this one though. As someone who has the same type of anxiety that Paz has, I found myself relating so much to his character. And I loved Parker as the female main character, her no nonsense bullshit attitude was refreshing. It would have been very easy to write that type of attitude off as being ‘bitchy’ or ‘mean’. Instead, it was used as the reason why she was able to break through to Paz. He told her something and she immediately said ‘Nope, try again because I don’t believe that for a second’. Loved their development and their relationship!! There were some things I felt could have either been expanded upon or removed completely as they didn’t add anything really to the story, but the story was such a quick read and so enjoyable that it didn’t take away from the book at all.

This is the 2nd book I've read in this series and the pattern I see is the books are... GETTING BETTER. Elliots' writing style is easy to fall into, but more so she is crafting characters that make sense. Parker made sense to be involved in the investigation and she was the only kind of woman I could imagine Paz ending up with he needs some spark in his life but he also needs a person who is unafraid of hurting his feeling when he is in need of a reality check. Am I still hating the drug storyline? Yes. Do I hate it a lot less since we got the kick-ass (literally) scene from Parker and Paz? Hell yes! ANYONE wanting to write (or read) good enemies to lovers THIS is enemies to lovers. PS the sibling banter 10/10

I was kindly gifted this book by @daphneelliotauthor in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

This book is the 3rd book in the Lovewell Lumberjack series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I think this one is my favourite out of the series, although I still have a soft spot for Remy.

Even though Parker and Pascal obviously hate each other to start with you can feel the sexual tension radiating off the pages. They are both carrying some baggage into the “fake relationship”, but somehow manage to find themselves / work through it during the month or so they spend together.

I love that Parker is a bad ass, strong, confident, intelligent woman who can take care of herself.

Clive has also made an appearance

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest review

So here it goes!

I really didn't think I was going to like Paz (and to be honest, Remy is still my favorite Gagnon lumbersnack), but he definitely grew on me! The banter between Parker and Pascal was *chefs kiss*. We love a badass female who knows her worth and isn't afraid to go after what she wants.

Pascal is so damaged and finds ways to make sure everyone stays safe. He's a caretaker in his core and finds even the smallest ways to make a difference. In the end, it saves both he and Parker from sure death.

I do feel like there could have been a second part to this book, as they only just came together. But that's my own heart and brain wanting things wrapped up in a nice bow.

Overall, the book was great and right on par with the first two. I can't wait for Adele's story and to see what trouble Clive gets into.
