His plan makes sense... cut down on refined sugar and carbs with a ratio he developed. However, I love fruit and due to the sugar content, many fruits are a no-no according to the plan. The photos are great that show what is "belly bad" vs. "belly good." I just couldn't stick with it... as usual.
i think this plan makes some sense but its just not something i can see myself following through with.
my favorite part of this book is page 42 the belly bad belly good section.
this shows basic everyday food choices that are pretty common and tells you whats wrong with it and what a better option is.

This plan works...for the week I did it. I just find it very difficult to only eat six servings (between 5-20 grams) of carbs a day. The sugar wasn't even as hard as the carbs. It's interesting to see how the body works though. I've found both this and WW work--I just need to have the strength to do them.
A good book, that reads very fast. I don't know why I continue to read diet books, they all just tell the same truth which we already know- eat less junk lol. I guess I just need to be remotivated from time to time :)
I don't know that I'm on board with his 15/6 plan as it involves eating a lot of weird stuff, but his highlighting of the amount of sugar in foods where you least suspect it was a real wake up call, especially as I'm prone to low blood sugar, and generally eat something sugary when I'm tired, rather than the ubiquitous caffeine.
The Belly Fat Cure Sugar and Carb Counter is a great way to learn about hidden sugars in our daily diets. Approximately 80% of the book consists of lists of common food available in US and their fiber, sugar and carbohydrate contents. The primary message of this book is how a diet rich in sugar and carbs is helping people to pack on the pounds, especially in their midsection, leading to multiple health complications such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
I've been reading books on healthy eating as an attempt to clean up my personal diet and change the way I look at food. Since my diet consists mostly of vegetarian food, it is a little difficult for me to pursue the Belly Good Menu suggestions strictly, which is composed of meat proteins such as chicken, fish and beef. However, having read this book I've gotten an insight into my eating habits and I'd be removing items that are rich in sugar from the pantry and adding more fresh vegetables to my diet.

I did not partake in the diet, was more or less curious of what information was offered.
