Moderately interesting, but way too romancy and not enough plot.
Book was really enjoyable good plot aswell as some spice.
Re-Read.
I love this much just as much as I did reading it the first time.
I enjoyed the action and the romance between the two main characters. Mira finding her power was written in a realistic way.
I did find that I was skipping the parts that involved the antagonist. I read the main battle sequence in the end but all the things leading up to it were just eh. I knew what was going on without it and it was still an enjoyable book.

Just not much there. Mostly hot sex, which is fine if that is what you’re in the mood to read about. I was wanting more meat to my story, but sometimes you don’t get what you want.
So, sometimes when you go to the 'used books' section of your local thrift store, you start grabbing books like a mad person because some are only a dollar or twenty-five cents. Yes, you read correctly. That day was a wonderful day for me...not so much for my wallet, though.
Basically, this book took me back to my younger years when I was obsessed with the hit T.V. show, Charmed. Witch Fire was originally published back in 2007, many things have changed, (i.e. technology,) but overall, I enjoyed it quite a lot. That's why this original book is receiving a 3.5/5 from me.
I loved how all of the elements, (earth, air, fire, water) were used in this book; each witch has an element, which is their power or magick. Mira, the main character, has the element of air.
She is one of the strongest and rarest air witches out there. And of course, what is an air witch without her fire witch?
That's where things get a little sexy and steamy when Jack McAllister is added to the equation. I mean, the opening like to this story is:
"He looked like and seemed like salvation."
I mean, after getting out of a messy divorce with your ex, telling yourself you'll stay away from men for a while... having that thought the very first time you see the fire witch, is definitely a big intro to this heated relationship between Mira and Jack.
Of course, between all of this sexual tension, there is bad out there in the witch world and is after the rarest air witch out there, guess who? Long story short, there is a very, very bad dude, a warlock, after element witches to basically suck the magic out of the witches, summon a demon, for said evil warlock needs. Dude's dying, he wants to live longer, but there are more witches, strong witches living in the Coven, who will stop at nothing to defeat this evil. As soon as you start reading, you can't stop. You get sucked into the plot.
Witch Fire is a thrilling, sexy, paranormal, magical, and fun quick read. You get lost in the fire and you happily get burned.

I wish I could give this book 2.5 stars. I really liked the story line with Mira not knowing she was a witch and having to defend herself from the Duskoff. However, the sex was way too overpowering. And I'm someone who really enjoys a good bit of erotica every now and again. But this was too much, and to the point where I skimmed a lot of it. Borderline pornographic... this is definitely a bathtub book. I almost quit reading it, but I wanted to know how the story ended. I will likely finish reading the series, but I will be grazing over a vast majority of it.
3.5 stars... definitely.
Not a bad, but not great either. Maybe if it didn't feel as though 50% of the book was spent describing how like totally hot the sexual attraction between the Hero and Heroine is... I think a little more time could and should have been spent on the plot.
Instead the author seemed to try and shove all the action into the last couple of chapters, cramming all the loose ends together and smashing them inside a box until they fit well enough to be tied up with a sloppy bow.

• I really liked this book until the second to last chapter which ruined everything for me
• I don’t read books about witches often but I liked this book as I liked how the elemental aspect of the magic was really detailed and how each element meant that the witch could do different things. I liked how Mira trained and practiced her new magic but there were only a few scenes shown where she does that and I wanted to see more as it seemed as if she could do anything even though she only just discovered that she was a witch. I liked how each element meant that the witch was capable of doing specific things but I wanted to actually see it happen as it was mostly just described like earth witches being most like the stereotypical witches with potions, air being able to listen in to other people’s conversations, fire being mostly offensive and water … water witches weren’t really shown and the only thing that was said that they could do was make it rain
• The main characters were ok but I thought that they should have been more funny in their arguments as they didn’t really do much. There were maybe three side characters who didn’t really feel like real characters as they always came into a scene, did what they had to, then disappeared
• I hated the ending - this book was really good and then the final scene came when there is the big attack and it was really boring and it didn’t make sense as there were many enemy witches and something small happens where they lose their concentration, then nobody does anything, then Mira comes to the rescue. The scene that almost made me give this book a 1 star was after the attack when Mira tells Jack that she can’t forgive him for keeping things from her and then straight after that she turns to Annie and tells her that she’s forgiven for keeping things from her. That conflict was so forced and unnecessary and almost made me not want to read anymore books by this author.
• I want to read the next book in this series to see what water witches can do since there wasn’t much about them in this book but if that book has a scene that is similar to the scene that I hated so much in this book, I’m not going to read anymore books by this author

Everyone is so horny in this book...
Mira is a waitress and one of her patrons is an extremely sexy man that she immediately start undressing with her mind. He is polite and comes to her defense.
Turns out that, before she knows it, she is kidnapped by him for her "protection", because she is a rare air witch. He is drawn to her because he is a fire witch. Bad people are after her
That being said, reading the book it feels like a flimsy excuse to just get it on.
It isn't bad, but I was here for plot and I feel like I got everything but
