Lovely set of stories, at times eerie or sad - I didn't know the Happy Prince is one of his, always attributed it to Hans Christian Andersen because it is so haunting. I also enjoyed the birthday of the Infanta and the fisherman and his soul.

Wilde supposedly wrote these stories for his sons, but like most fairy tales I think they are better suited to adults.
I was intrigued that the famous author and playwright chose to do this. He follows the traditional form and cadence of fairy tales and his language, not surprisingly, is beautiful. But they are dark and often sad.
