This is one of those books where you’re not really sure what to think about it! It’s unlike any other books I’ve ever read, and it straddles the line between literary and a fairy tale-esque quest as a man returns to his home country of Georgia to follow the trail left by his missing father and brother. The book can be quite dark (and there is a fair amount of violence towards animals), but it’s still very propulsive and I was always interested in picking it back up.
