This was such an interesting take on historical romance! I loved the various subplots, the relatable characters, and the decadent writing.

The cover of this book is sooooo freaken pretty!

I was very excited to read this one because we all know I love a good historical romance. And the plot of this one was too funny/weird.

Lucy was a good leading lady. She was smart and determined and obviously cared about those close to her. I wish we would have seen more of the relationship grow between her and Anthony. I felt like we were just told how they felt, but I didn’t witness it.

There were so many plot points too. It was very very interesting. But I got a little lost. I really felt for all that Anthony was going through though.

In my opinion is this the best historical romance of the bunch I’ve read? No. But it kept my interest and had a fun, different vibe.

I liked Lucy and Anthony. I liked how quickly Anthony realized Lucy was someone he needed in his life, in some way.

The amount of trauma Anthony is working through is a lot though. He so it isn’t too surprising that he formed such a strong attachment to Lucy.

It’s an interesting store with lots of chaotic developments along the way to keep you interested. I would love to know more about Kate.
