I love Marian Keyes! This is the 7th book about the Walsh sisters.  Anna is approaching 50 and a perimenopausal post-lockdown mid-life crisis sees her leaving her high flying PR life in New York to return to small town Ireland. There's mystery, hilariously real characters, incredible one liners, and a really beautiful grown up romance which even made me shed a tear! A nice easy read, lots of laughs and very feel good.

Ahhh how good it is to be back with the Walsh family. Anna was always my favourite and it’s lovely to see how she’s going!

If you want an Irish sex-and-the-city book with too much overthinking, cringe-fest, toxic family combination and pointless conversation in 600 pages? This is the book for you!

As an introvert I was worned out by the family constellation and constant weird and highly stressfull conversations. At one point I had to let the book rest because my brain felt genuinely exhausted.

Speaking of toxic, prepare yourself for childish middle-aged adults who have problems with healthy boundary setting. Where relationships are based on a constant inability to say what they mean. Inner monologues of emotions like teenage angst mixed with stress - side up and side down. The frustration in me as a reader is total.

I give the book 0.5 points, because of the nice Irish accents and because the author addresses menopause, which is a somewhat taboo subject.
