Well I enjoyed this book. An easy holiday type read. Well written and despite never having read any other books in the series there was enough recaps to make the story flow easily. I sometimes struggled with all the different characters remembering who was who, outside of the main ones, and keeping track of who they were but that didn’t spoil it. Enjoyed it and may read more books about the family when I want an easier more light hearted read.
My god was this a lot of pages to say, "I am an attractive middle-aged woman. I was involved in some small town intrigue about a resort. I've been hot for an attractive middle-aged man for years. We weren't good for each other, but we decided to have amazing sex and start an unrealistically wonderful romance together anyway. Because we're pretty. And privileged. The end."

this was so entertaining. the writing itself was very straightforward and fun. i thought the ending could've been slightly shorter - this book felt more like 3 because SO much happens. there was a strange fixation on the anna's (FMC) age which started to annoy me, given that she wasn't insecure about it. everyone's ages came up so many times. i also really liked the best friend arc, it made me wish i still had mine in my life. overall it's a very cute story about finding yourself again in your middle age and (re)connecting with the people around you.
