3.5 stars. Charming romance with a premise that is sure to hook readers. For a 400-page novel, the pages turn exceptionally quickly.
I did prefer the author's previous book [b:The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight|10798416|The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight|Jennifer E. Smith|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1337187623s/10798416.jpg|15464655], which I felt was most tightly plotted. Preference aside, this was a solid read. I think I'll also be adding [a:Jennifer E. I wouldn't say it's one of my favourite love story but I really enjoyed it. It was quite an interesting story. I like how Ellie fell the real Graham. It's funny how some celebrities would like someone to love them for themselves but not the idea of them. This book shed light on how celebrities' life can be difficult.

Beautiful. I loved it. As I'm writing my review, I just finished reading a few minutes ago and I'm happy and sad over this book. I'm happy because I read it, I'm happy with the story, I'm happy with the writing and I'm happy for Graham and Ellie. It's not outweighing the sadness though. I don't know why but the ending makes me so sad. I feel sadder than Augustus' death, sadder than Tris' death. Maybe it's because they didn't promise each other anything about the future and I was left hanging. I do know they love each but a "we'll write" is just not enough for me. I'm the type of person who wouldn't be convinced if she made her own extension of an ending of a story written by someone else and not imagined by her own brain. I guess Jennifer wanted us to imagine what would happen to Graham and Ellie next. That ending though, it made me ball my eyes out. But I loved it. I loved it so much I would give it more than 5 stars. Thank you for this story Jennifer E. Smith.

This book should have been called "this is what make me happy," because I was nothing but smiling throughout this entire book. Ahh, what feeling I have for this books. The main love story was absolutely beautiful it may not fully believable but who cares it's YA. The plot twist totally caught me off guard and the writing style was to die for. Jennifer E. Smith makes ordinary anything sound so lovely, like the feeling that makes your heart speed. I think a good character development was when you're not falling for the characters together, you're worried when they're not. And Ellie's past and how she acted around Graham the first few weeks and after were completely in sync with each other. There wasn't a guessing game with this book and it made me want more at the end. Graham is the type of boy every girl deserves. The boy who will always think of you first, the boy who will always have you in their thoughts, the boy who will always be by your side even if you say 'no.' From E-mails to conversation, Ellie and Graham were absolute perfection. I loved this book and everything in between. From Wilbur and Bagel to Ellie's mom and Quinn and Joe and the lobsters and the poetry and the city skylines and the ice cream shop and when they meet for the first time and every time afterwards. Ahh, this book made me very happy.
Es una de los mejores libros románticos juveniles que he leído últimamente.
I love the sense of reality in this book. The whole scenario of it, I believe can happen in real life. This book is romantic without being too mushy, it gives you a little tingly feeling that will leave you wanting more.
I really want a beagle now and name it Bagel.

Gut Instinct Reaction (Gut Instinct Score: 4.5)
I really enjoyed this book; I felt it was a bit long, and like any romance novel, it left you wondering what happened to the couple.
Characters:
Who were the main characters? (Character Score: 4)
Ellie, of course, is the girl that receives this odd email from a boy, who we later find out is movie-star Graham. Ellie is a down to earth girl raised by a single mom. She works with her somewhat willy-nilly best friend in their small town.
Graham is the movie star who sends an email to Ellie by accident. He's 17 years old and after talking to Ellie for a long time, mischievously gets the directors to film in her hometown and then devises a way to meet her and explain who he is.
Were the characters credible?
In general, yes. I thought everyone fit really well into their "role," but I thought it was a bit dramatized as far as the best friend-boyfriend dynamic goes.
Who was your favorite character? Why?
I liked the way Graham was written. He's 17, and a heart throb. But, he's still a mama's boy, and a genuinely good kid. Most of the time, especially in younger people driven by hormones, fame will ruin a person. And I really loved the way he was written.
Could you relate to any of the characters in the story?
I think everyone can relate to one or more of these characters. Especially because we are bookstagram and we literally live in this world - where we know people through screens.
Was the book believable? (Believability Score: 5) - It definitely was. We've all sent a wrong number text before - we've seen people who've gone to the hospital to wish someone well even though they received the text accidentally. It happens. Is it a one in a million chance that she got this email from someone her age, and who was also famous? Definitely. But, good love stories are always one in a million.
Was the book similar to several books or did it seem to have enough unique components? (Uniqueness Score: 5) I actually can't think of another book that focuses on this concept. I thought it was cute and worked itself out pretty well.
Was the writing fluid and coherent? Were there parts of the story that jumped around or felt disconnected from the original thought? (Writing Style Score: 4.5) This was what really killed me; there were times when I wasn't sure who was talking - Ellie or Graham. I think any time you read a chain of texts/emails, you have to process who's responding to who. But the chapter breaks were really what frustrated me. I didn't really need the extra from Graham's POV. It didn't really take away from the story, but it wasn't necessary either; so I wasn't as engaged during some of the story.
Was the book packed with a punch or were there more periods of slow paced writing? (Excitement Factor Score: 4) It's a teenaged love story, so it's not really focused on the action (hah, I made a pun), but there was still a good enough amount of excitement. There was definitely two moments that were anticlimactic - and anti-romantic (is that a thing); but the length of the story was just a bit too long.
What was the story about? (Story Line Score: 4) There were parts of this story that just didn't fit: (a) her dad's absence; I'm not sure why this holds so much weight into this story; (b) the boyfriend friend drama - I don't really get; (c) the movie stuff wasn't so necessary. This story is essentially what the back flap tells you - it's a story about an accidental email that turns into a love story - with a little drama added in.
Did the title fit in with the story's theme, message, or tone? (Title Relevance Score: 5) It was actually a really cute theme throughout - "this is what happy looks like." *swoon*
Did the artwork on the cover and/or dust jacket fit in with the story's theme, message, or tone? (Artwork Relevance Score: 5) Fit fairly well. For the purposes of artwork, the boat works.
My Opinion:
Did you like the book? I really did. It was cute in that cheese-ball, hopeless romantic kinda way.
What was your favorite part of the book? Just the concept was adorable. There's not many in-person accidental love connections made anymore because of technology; but this did it really well.
Do you have a least favorite part of the book? The dad thing. Read it and then you may get it.
If you could change something, what would it be? The dad thing... argggh.
My Recommendation:
Would you recommend this book to another person? Most definitely!
