Meh. That was cute enough. It was hard to ship them because there were so many outside factors that prevented them from being together or even near each other. I wasn't overly attached but it was a quick read.

Personal nu sunt o fana inraita a romanelor romantice, insa Jennifer E. Smith reuseste sa ma convinga mereu; cred ca as citi orice carte scrisa de ea (abia astept sa pun mana pe The Geography of You and Me , chit ca o voi citi in engleza, atunci cand apare in strainatate).

This Is What Happy Looks Like is a book about Ellie who received a email by accident by a young man with a pig named Wilbur. Ellie was not expecting to meet the person she is busy entailing everyday. But when Graham the famous actor comes into Maine where a Ellie lives. She soon learns that the fellow she has been emailing is famous actor Graham. Ellie is very distant and does not want to get involved with Graham and the paparazzi because she has a secret she does not want the world to find out. I liked the part about each email saying things that happy looks like.

So sweet. I also really love that the ending didn't wrap up perfectly.

I love Jennifer E. Smith’s books. My favorite one of all time is The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. I love her books because when I’m down in the dumps or in a book slump, I can always count on her books for a easy fast read. Sometimes you just need a light read to break through the darkness of everything. While I did like this one, I think this one didn’t hook me in as much as the other the other author’s books.

One trend in contemporary books that I’m not exactly a fan of these days is the main character fighting with her best friends. It seems to be in almost every contemporary book that I read and I don’t understand why its necessary. I don’t know if it adds tension to the story, or maybe its just easier to write that character out for a while. I’m not sure, but I just hate the fact that meeting a new guy and all this flirtatious/relationship has to be paired with fighting with a friend.

I think what I liked most about this story was that it wasn’t a whirlwind romance like most summer romances seem to be portrayed in contemporary. It was this awkward “we have never met before, but here I am, oh this isn’t working out so lets not talk for 3 weeks.” It was nice to see that the characters weren’t spending every single moment together because they did have other obligations. The story didn’t have this perfect ending riding into the sunset, and I really liked that. It was a perfect ending for the story though! I really wasn’t into the whole hes a moviestar and she’s the lovechild of a big time senator. Maybe it was just something that I couldn’t relate to so I didn’t feel as sucked into this story.

I also read the novella, Happy Again, that takes place after the main character goes off to college. I liked that story a lot because it was nice to see the characters grown up a little bit after having some big changes in their lives.

Jennifer E. Smith has been added to my automatically read list, and I cannot wait for Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between. It comes out this summer and I’m super excited for this one because I think its a story that a lot of people can relate to: deciding to stay together or breakup the night before college. Its a tough journey and always involves a lot of heartache. Its also included in my 2015 summer books that I’m most excited for.

This Is What Happy Looks Like is definitely a book for fans of Jennifer E. Smith. Its also a great summer read and would be perfect for this summer. Afterall, summer is just right around the corner!

The story looks like a fanfiction but since I read fanfictions, I guess it was okay. The plot is really interesting, the writing is not genius but at least I didn't have to think about every sentence I was reading. Easy to read, really entertaining, sometimes I wish I was a character to slap the actual characters who were being stupid. So this is a good book. You should read it. Don't expect Shakespeare's plays, just a kind of fanfiction that is not a fanfiction.
