So it's already been almost a month since I read this so this review is going to be brief because I don't remember it that well. Part of that has to do with the fact that I read the first half of this seriously sleep deprived.

So I remember there was a movie star who falls for a small town girl who was the illegitimate child of a big deal DC politician or something. I think. Anyway, due to that she couldn't allow herself to be in the spotlight because the story would come out.

I don't know why, but this didn't work for me. I'm not a huge fan of the movie star or celebrity character/angle. I also didn't like the politician angle either. I thought there was enough material for a good story without adding that part. Just personal preference here though obviously.

Other than that I remember there was a thing with a boat. And a fight with a friend that I didn't really follow the reason for. And that's kind of all I got on this.

I love this book so much. I finished it in 1 day. The plot line of the story is soo cute. My friend asked for what the book was about and I told her and she wants to read it now. I will pick up the next book once I get back to my local library

checks all the boxes in my dumb fanfiction brain but i wish we saw more of a build up in their relationship because thats always the fun part

AWWWWW. So sweet. Maybe a bit predictable in that romance kind of way but still utterly delightful to read.

I love Smith's writing style. She's contemplative and ... cozy, and everything in her books work out the way it should.

I thought this book was pretty good! Definitely a very fluffy, easy contemporary read. I wish there was more of a dialogue with Quinn and Ellie's relationship, their feud in the beginning felt to forced to me. Otherwise it was pretty good! I loved the town of Henley, I could imagine it perfectly in my mind! 3.7 stars!

Review to come.
