{4.5} this may seem like a typical love story, but really it was so much more and j loved every bit of it. I don't know what it was about it that I loved, but this was a beautiful and honest story.
I'm always up for a romance, in fact, I insist upon it in the criteria for the books I choose to read. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, or maybe I just like to live vicariously through the characters in these books since my romantic life is nonexistent. Whatever the case, this is my favorite book, and I have re-read it at least 4 times, which is a lot considering how many books I have and need to read, and that it hasn't been out for that long. I do admit though, that one of the reasons I read this book was because Graham has a PIG, named Wilber no less! Though I'm not sure if I could do having one as a pet, or the reality of someone owning one as a pet, I do appreciate the choice she made. Jennifer Smith made it into my list of favorite authors with this novel, and I can't wait to read her other books.
If I had to choose, this would probably be my favorite of all Jennifer E. Smith's books I've read so far. For the record, i've only read Statistical Probabilty of Love at First Sight and Geography of You and Me before this one. Still, I think there's a different kind of magic to Graham and Ellie's love story.
The story was simple but well written and I loved all the characters. Yes, even Olivia. What surprises me is that there is no real bad guy to this story. Not Ellie's mom and not Harry (Graham's manager). The worst villain in the film would probably be the pushy photographer, who was really annoying. I was glad Graham punched him in the face.
This was a very light, and fairly amusing read. The only thing bad thing I could say about this is that there was no "I love yous" or a confirmation that they'd stay together. Luckily, I discovered there's a mini sequel I could read to satiate my curiosity of what comes next for them.
Two thumbs up for this story!

This book just wasn’t for me unfortunately. I found myself skimming through the pages to finish it in the end. Think this would be perfect for a pre teen age range. It’s everything it’s described to be just didn’t interest me.
Cute enough. Not the best, but better than Statistical Probability.

I read this book years ago when I was around 10/11 years old, and the pure joy I got out of reading this sweet romance still holds me today.
