Unfortunately, during my third reread of this novel, I felt it best to drop my rating. I still very much enjoy this novel - four stars really isn't bad at all, at least to me - but I found there were more issues that stuck out to me while reading it this time around than in my previous readings.

A cheesy, quick, and fairly predictable romance about what happens when a small-town Maine girl accidentally starts emailing teenage actor Graham Larkin. Some good character building and an interesting take on the idea, but not something I found particularly special.
Honestly just…boring as hell but not the worst thing ever. 2.5 stars.
I don't even finish this book, because I don't really like it. The early chapters were really engaging, I love it. But as I continued my read, the story got unrealistic. I haven't been in love or fall in love before, but I'm sure it doesn't happen like how this book portrays it to be.
This was incredibly fluffy and adorable and I devoured it in about two and a half hours. There were certainly some problems with it, starting with the fact that it's kind of hard not to know someone's name when they email you. I mean, yes, their email address comes up, but your inbox isn't all "Hey, you've got new mail from [email protected]!". It comes up as Random Person. Or Person, Random. Or something. So the whole idea that Ellie and Graham didn't know each other's names was a little ridiculous. But I'm willing to let it slide because the idea of them getting to know each other slowly through emailing back and forth was seriously cute. I also really liked the fact that, unlike your typical teens-fall-in-love-in-fun-places story, things weren't all neatly wrapped up in a "they'll be together forever" package. Things were left open and uncertain and full of possibilities.
And yes, it's five million per cent unbelievable, but WHATEVER. That hasn't stopped me from watching Win a Date With Tad Hamilton approximately ten thousand times. This book, incidentally, is kind of like the teenage lovechild of Win a Date With Tad Hamilton and You've Got Mail. And a tiny touch of Hairspray, but I think that's mostly because Graham's surname is Larkin, and so obviously all I could think of was Link Larkin.
ANYWAY. Totally and utterly implausible, but completely and utterly adorable. Go. Read. Enjoy.

Such a great book... definitely ehat I needed for the festive season like this. A cool and relaxing romance to relax too in front of the tree.

This book was really cute! I went into knowing nothing. I’d seen it around but I didn’t read the summary or anything. (I’m actually really glad I did that- it made discovery in the book even more exciting) I kind of enjoy books about celebrities trying to blend around normal people and things like that, and this book had the added bonus of having a great story and an amazing cast of characters. Makes me want to read all of this author’s other books.

I feel like so much yet nothing happened.
The plot of the book was non-existent like the chemistry between Ellie and Graham. Both characters were bland af. Ellie was giving me late 2000s early 2010s “im not like other girls” pick me vibes. Graham was just a bland white boy as per usual. The author makes it seem like a movie star knocking your door out of the blue a romantic gesture but actually it’s borderline creepy.
Another thing that annoyed me was Ellie’s friend Quinn. She was insufferable and ignored Ellie for more than half of the book. I hoped Ellie would find another friend wouldn’t put up with her shitty attitude.
Also for the scene in the deli, what’s wrong with wanting to eat salad? Not everyone has to eat greasy ass deli sandwiches like you Graham. Let my girl Olivia have her salad.
Anyways, if you want to read a book with anonymous friends x celebrity trope, go read Geekerella.

I just couldn't get through it. This book just wasn't for me. But maybe I will try reading The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight because I've heard that it's so much better.
