Pros: entertaining RH with a small group. The main character made realistic mistakes that made sense based on what she knew at the time. I'm really curious about who the stalker is.
Cons: constant descriptions about getting horny over the tiniest things?? I hope that we get to see more of Bree and her personality in the next book, because she was mostly just there to let MK talk about her problems here.

I listened to the audiobook. This is duet style narration. Brooke Daniel’s does an excellent job as Maddison Kate. The story is told by Maddison Kate’s POV, which is fitting. Lucas Webley, who is one of my favorite narrators, missed the mark. His impressions of Steele and Kody (especially Kody) were almost cringe worthy.
Overall I give this story a 3.5 out of 5 BUT I was intrigued enough to listen to the second book and I’m glad I did because it gets better.
Cons: What I didn’t like about this book is that Maddison Kate, who the author portrays as a badass, can’t defend herself. Also, Maddison Kate is set on getting revenge but what revenge means to her is playing childhood pranks. Finally, there is only one smut scene in this book BUT the smut does a 180 in the second book.

I read this book because I was still in the mood for dark romance. While it was a fun book to read, the characters all felt very used to fit a trope are were a little flat. Madison Kate is a very angry character, and that is absolutely justified, but she didn’t feel very grounded in her anger. She kept getting distracted by how hot the guys were. I mean sure, fair, but not very realistic considering her reasoning behind her rage.
This book felt very minimal in its revenge fantasy and I just wanted more from it. Hoping book two is a little better since it is still a fun read and ended on a cliffhanger. Still need to know what happens next.

Madison Kate is angry and vengeful and a bit of a brat. But I definitely felt for her.
She gets framed by three gorgeous (why are they always so hot?) men for what goes down as Riot Night and subsequently spends three months in jail before her evil father sends her to a monastery in Cambodia. Upon arrival back in the states, her father jets off to Europe with his new girlfriend, leaving her to live with three semi-stepbrothers. And to up the drama, the three men who set her up are her new roommates.
Madison is filled with righteous anger and does her best to get back at them. Her pranks are a little immature, but I can understand her grasping at anything to recover her strength and power.
All the men have different personalities and are well-defined individuals. Madison’s relationship with each was very different in their progression, making it seem more real.
Suspense and secrets and a mystery stalker, and I’m hooked.
