I'm reading too many books and this is a little hard to pay attention to. I will return to it!

Fun read. I'll likely read it again at some point. I caught myself drifting off to pay attention to other things while listening so a second listen will be even more enjoyable, I think.

Going into this I knew the rough premise of the book so all the chaos and the confusion was expected and every bit as hectic as I thought it would be! I can imagine reading this as a child and having it form the basis of a book lover hobby.

Also this book FEELS like a book. It provides the escapism and the wonder and the craft of a world so similar to ours but so peculiar. Is almost like 'hey... this could be real u know?'

The only reason it lost a star is because I found it difficult to read on ebook - I switched to audiobook halfway and enjoyed it so much more! I wish I had done it sooner.

As much as I loved it, I don't think I love it enough to sit through the rest of the series 🤭

This book was not for me. I hated it almost instantly, but finished it because it was someone's choice for our upcoming book club.
