Viola is hands down the most insufferable character I've ever had the displeasure of reading about. She was so rude and unnecessarily mean to literally everyone, including her "best friend." I am not being hyperbolic when I say literally every person she encountered was an "idiot" or "incompetent" or just a waste of her time because she was simply too intelligent to be around them. Her POVs were genuinely making me angry. I tried to power through but I just couldn't because, unfortunately, my hatred for her proved to be insurmountable. Which is is a shame, because Olivie Blake is a phenomenal writer.

This was so darling and also packs some real truths for a deeper meaning. Everything you’d expect from a Shakespearean retelling, making it memorable in its own right. So witty. Snappy dialogue, sharp characters, the Easter eggs of the original action but in a wholly original way. Also just pure brain candy. Pick it up for smart fun and be delighted.

I’m a sucker for Shakespeare retellings and I also played a ton of WoW in college, so I really enjoyed this one! Very cute and fun, with emotional depth and heart.
One of my favorite female characters of all time. She's not perfect, she's got "real" flaws, which is such a breath of fresh air. Original and real. Loved this book.
