I truly enjoyed this book. My heart was beating fast quite a few times from wanting to know what would happen and if she would get caught.
A really good story

Not my favorite book by the duo Nicci French, considering the story has some gaps and plot points that failed to convince me, starting with the fact that a woman with a stable life, a scientist could ditch her life, her everything to be with a man she met on the street. I know it could happen but I’m still not convinced. There were other tiny holes throughout, but I enjoyed reading a tense story written by Nicci French.

This is the book that started my love for Nicci French. A good book about how the grass is never greener on the other side. Alice cheats on her boyfriend and then eventually leaves her boyfriend for this guy she met on the street. The relationship takes a violent turn and her story proceeds through it. I think it's a shocking read about something that could happen to anyone and I couldn't put it down.In compliance with FTC guidelines,I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

Alice Louden leaves her steady live-in boyfriend for a sudden but passionate affair with mountain climber Adam Tallis. It moves quite quickly to the point they are marrying. But in her marriage to Adam she finds he has a dark secretive side. So she starts probing into his past behind is back. The book moves fast and is a quick read. I probably gave this book a better rating because my like of the movie. Because really I have been disappointed by French's books. Things seem to be missing from them -- lack of character development? falling plot lines? I am just not sure I can pin-point it. I did like this book the best though out of the ones I have read of French's books.

I read this one after I read the Twilight series. I wanted something that portrayed obsessive/I can't live without you love in a bad light, and this one did it! Good book. Romantic at first, then suspenseful, then fearful.

In a similar vein as Creep or Die For You. Alright, but not spectacular.
