I loved this collection of Poirot short stories. I’d say this collection had some pretty intriguing mysteries, with quite a few twists and turns. Fun! And Poirot was very funny, especially in the Triangle at Rhodes, commenting on the behavior of a group of people and their drama.

A collection of three novellas and a short story featuring Poirot. All four are strong, clever mysteries. My favorite of the group was Dead Man’s Mirror.

2024 re-read: Book twenty-six of my personal read through of Agatha Christie in (American) publication order. I let this review go to long after I read it, so all I can give you is a general impression of this as a pleasant read, not the most thrilling, but peak experience of Agatha-Christie-ness.

Original review:
I realized reading through this book that even though Agatha Christie is no longer one of my go-to authors, reading one of her books is reliably an enjoyable experience.

I should really review each of the individual stories in this, because the "Dead Man's Mirror" story was really intriguing, and so was "The Incredible Theft", but I was rather unimpressed with "Murder in the Mews" and "Triangle at Rhodes".

This book is OK, but not breath-taking.
