Oh, Mylanta this book is EVERYTHING. I am pretty sure I’ve said that about a few Meghan Quinn books over the years but this one, this one really hit home.
Lia and Breaker meet in college, that night they instantly become best friends. They have an instant connection that is so pure, and so unbelievably perfect.
Lia is so sassy, fun, and quirky - what was not to love about her? She never held any punches when it came to Breaker – the pervert mustache banter had me in tears.
Breaker is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s by my favorite Cane brother. He was so protective of Lia, challenged her, and oh so charming.
A Long Time Coming brought back a lot of fun characters that we’ve met through the years – My favorite surprisingly enough was Myla. The reprise of Myla made me see he a lot differently than I did in Untying the Knot – I no longer want to throat punch her.
The audio – Erin Mallon and J.F. Harding played off each other so well – this duet had me in stitches. Erin ‘s comedic timing is always spot on and a pleasure to listen to – come on she can read me the dictionary and I would hang on to every word.
J.F. was the huge surprise here – I had never heard him in a romcom – it was a very pleasant surprise.
This book was so much fun, so heartfelt, so swoony and romantic. I loved the banter, the wit and all the fun little things that make it a Meghan Quinn romcom. (Which means super slow burn with holy dry hump heaven!)

Oh Meghan Quinn... kill me now! This one was the perfect end to the Cane Brothers series!!! I laughed, I teared up, I smiled... all the feels.

Now of course I'm on the lookout for the side players in this one and their stories, and sorry if I haven't found them yet. But damn, how did she become my new fave rom-com writer??

Such a great story between Breaker and Ophelia (Lia) that I absolutely couldn't have loved it more. I think their story was beautiful, in all ways. Chef's kiss on this one!

My heart ♥️ this book is Best friends to Lovers perfection. I can’t. The angst to inner dialogue from the MMC *chef kiss*

I do love a good friends to lovers trope and this one had all the feels!!

The only downside were the girl-time scenes. They were so cringe!!! No girlfriends talk like that with each other. They sounded like a bunch of crass, thirsty horn dogs, which kind of cheapened their bond and, frankly, their respective relationships. As if sex is the only thing they married their partners for. And the repetitive “that’s a Cane brother thing” is just really bad taste.

But other than that, loved everything else. Loved sweet Breaker. Loved down to earth Lia. Loved their banter and chemistry. They were such a cute couple.

Please please please make a story for Birdy because she deserves her own love story!!

My man! My man! My man!

Breaker and Lia’s book was my favorite of the series. This book has me sold on the friends to lovers trope. There’s just something about someone knowing literally everything about you and still wanting to be with you. They had no secrets between them. You as the reader are just waiting for them to figure out that they are in love with each other and just admit their feelings!!

This is very much a slow burn, but when the spice hits 🥵🥵🥵. Breaker was definitely the kinkiest and his mouth my god. He had me sweating.
