Wie die anderen Bände der Reihe hat mir auch "The Score" gut gefallen. Ich war sehr gespannt darauf zu sehen, wie Dean, der ja gerne bedeutungslosen Sex hat, Gefühle für eine Frau entwickeln und eine ernste Beziehung eingehen wird und die Autorin hat das gut dargestellt. Von Anfang an merkt man, dass die Chemie zwischen ihm und Allie stimmt und sie eine starke körperliche Anziehungskraft haben. Ebenso hat die Autorin aber auch überzeugend geschildert, wie sie sich darüber hinaus näher gekommen sind, dass sie es genossen haben, miteinander Zeit zu verbringen und dass sie in vielerlei Hinsicht zusammen passen, womit beide wohl nicht gerechnet hätten.
Allie und Dean sind beide sympathische, starke Protagonisten; zusammen sind sie wirklich toll und die Entwicklung ihrer Beziehung hat mir sehr gefallen. Natürlich gab es Probleme und die beiden hatten es nicht immer leicht, doch insgesamt hielten sich die Konflikte zwischen ihnen in Grenzen, was ich mochte. Es gibt viele humorvolle, allerdings auch emotionale und ernste Momente und Kennedy ist diese Mischung definitiv gelungen.
Dadurch, dass die Liebesgeschichte quasi mit Sex beginnt, haben die Protagonisten ziemlich viel davon und ich muss sagen, dass es mir nach einer Weile etwas zu viel war, obwohl die Szenen alle gut geschrieben waren. Die Chemie und das Knistern zwischen ihnen waren toll und fast schon greifbar, doch die Momente, in denen die beiden sich emotional angenähert oder einfach so Zeit miteinander verbracht haben, fand ich einfach schön und teilweise sehr berührend. Trotzdem ist das nur ein kleiner Kritikpunkt, ebenso wie die Tatsache, dass ich auch bei diesem Band fand, dass Deans Problem sich etwas zu rasch verbessert hat. Nach der Geschichte von Garrett und Hannah hat mir "The Score" am besten gefallen, obwohl die anderen beiden Bücher ebenfalls richtig gut waren. Deshalb vergebe ich 4,5/5 Sternen.

I ignore that. "Do you think it happens in real life? Pheromones and all that crap. Is it a bullshit theory some horndog dreamed up so he could justify why he's attracted to his mother or some shit? Or is there actually a biological reason why we're drawn to certain people? Like goddamn Twilight. Edward wants her on a biological level, right?"
"Are you seriously dissecting Twilight right now?"
God, I am. This is what Allie has reduced me to. A sad, pathetic loser who goes to a bar and forces his friend to participate in a Twilight book club.
This is like a 3.5/5 stars for me, hovering somewhere between The Deal and The Mistake... Dean (while undeniably sexy and sporting the name of my fav, Dean Winchester, as well as a love for children (ovaries exploding)) is not my favorite love interest ever, and I didn't find this story as fun or adorable as Garrett and Hannah's. That being said, I think I enjoyed it a smidgeon more than Logan and Grace's (though that one made me laugh the most out of all three) so... Here we are.
Either way, I love these books for always giving me my romance fix...

I loved the beginning. So funny. The end seemed a little rushed. I know theoretically months were happening between but there was a lot going on and it felt like it diminished the growth

This was exactly what I look for in these kinds of books. The hot playboy sex-fiend who finds his kryptonite. Dean was exactly the type of guy I like. Not the type of guy a lot of other people like though. But I found him sweet and cute and I love it when they get all hooked up on one girl and don’t know what to do with themselves. I also liked the ex-boyfriend drama Allie had that threw in a little spice here and there. Her playing hard to get just added to the slow burn I love. But not so slow you wanna pull your hair out. They still kept giving into each other every so often. These 2 were hot together. Not just cute and sweet like the last couples. The ending threw me for a little bit of a loop. I kinda figured Dean would go the route he did but some of the stuff that happened before with him did. You knew something big would happen with the foreshadowing but I didn’t think certain things would end for him. Anyways I loved this book the most out of all of them so far and can’t wait to keep reading the series.

I liked this one, but not as much as the mistake or the deal or even the play. I didn't find either of their stories as gripping as Hannah and Garrett's or Grace and Logan. But i still enjoyed it!
