This review was written after reading the whole Off-Campus Series (minus The Legacy)
After Garrett and Hannah, I think Dean and Allie's story is my second fav of the series. The reformed player falls head over heels for the girl who's trying to find herself was *chefs kiss*. I think the story for this book was really good, and like the first in the series, I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters.
* SPOILERS *
The only qualms I had were how Beau's death was handled, the little break between Dean and Allie, and how Allie eventually came to terms with being able to be alone for a second in life. For a heavy matter, I think more should have been done to give justice about losing a loved one and the journey of finding yourself after being in only committed relationships. Or at the very least, just had one major challenge and give it further time to develop in the story.
Other than that little blip towards the end of the book, Dean and Allie's story definitely made a good one and I'd recommend for others to read.
Overall Rating: 4/5

- Since I skipped Logan's book I'm mostly gonna compare this one with Garrett's.
This one was indeed a fun read. Dean was my favourite character back when I was reading "The deal" and I'm not disappointed at all. This guy was everything I hoped for him to be. The storyline is less of a cliché comparing to "The deal". With dean and allie, things were more complex and I liked their ups and downs so much. Ellie's character was intense and the way she could easily keep it up with dean's sarcasm and unique way of communicating was a total pleasure to read. Their sexual relationship was also a "pleasure" to read *winks* duo to their interesting characters. And I liked it even better than hannah and garet's.
Though I have to mention that sometimes the whole "I'm a rich kid, there's nothing in my life that makes me sad" that dean kept talking about made me (a bit) annoyed. I totally wanted to see him break down or something. (That means I totally enjoyed the almost-last chapters...) I also have to mention that elle kennedy knows exactly how to write a man you could easily fall in love with because DAMMIT Dean Sebastian Kendrick Heyward Di-Laurentis is indeed the kind of guy you fall for in the blink of an eye.(this guy made me smile and blush like a total idiot throughout the entire book.)
I'll probably skip tucker's story too. Let's just say I'll drop the whole series after this one. eventhough I totally enjoyed Garrett and Dean's story, that's the end for me folks.

This was a rough start. I really didn’t like Dean until maybe 80% into the book. I know that part of the tropes with this series is “cocky hockey guy” but this felt like it was on another level. And for how often they talked about him being smart, I didn’t get that vibe. I am also reading this back to back from the first two in the series and I am SO burned out on the guy who doesn’t do commitment trope. I did like Allie as an FMC and it all came together a bit for me in the end, especially with the more emotional parts but overall this was very meh for me.
