4 stars!
Enjoyed this one more than the first in the series, excited to get my hands on the rest of the "marked men"!!

I liked it but I wanted to shake Ayden! Jeez girl get a grip. It wasn't as sexy as the first one but I still liked it.

Check out my review at Escape by Fiction

I wasn't a fan of this one, unfortunately. Too many rocker boys in my shelves, I suppose.

This book was good, just wasn't what Rule was for me. I was looking forward to reading about Jet and Ayden but feel the story fell a little flat. I am glad we were still able to be all up in the tattoo shop with the guys, and see Cora and Shaw, if briefly. For Jet being a macho metal singer, he was pretty soft..I expected some more built up aggression or something, especially considering his dad issues. Ayden, eh..she didn't do it for me either, just something about their whole thing wasn't what I expected, I liked it just didn't love it. I will still read the next installment and hope that Rome redeems the series for me.

Oh god, Jay Crownover might be my new favorite author! I love the whole premise of the Marked Men series, and this book, compared to the first (which was already awesome), shows significant improvement.

Another fantastic swoon-worthy installment of the Marked Men series! I LOOOOOOVED Jet! Jay Crownover remains as my queen of NA. Tattoos, piercings, ugh... give it to me!

I fell in love with Jet almost instantly. Because I knew there was something more to him than his incredibly muscial talent couple with chronic promiscuity. There's always a story. And I wanted to know what it was.

Ayden is a southern belle with a trouble past, as well. She ignores it, hides it, never speaks of it -- you name it. She'd rather you forget that she existed prior to the time that you met her. And that, of course, raised all sorts of questions and suspicions. And it also prevented her budding interest in Jet from reaching its full potential.

Both Ayden and Jet were introduced in Crownover's first book in the Marked Men series, Rule; which still holds the crown as my favorite book -- so far. But let me tell you, Jet comes in direct competition. He's just as sexy and alluring as rule, but definitely different. His scars are different. His reactions to those scars are different.

It's very easy to compare the two Marked Men, but once you get into Jet's story, you immediate see, know, and understand that Jet is his own person and as a reader, I began to fall in love. There is so much to learn about Jet's passion for music, as well as his passion for protecting those that he loves. His vulnerability becomes a focus point and his lack of understanding that it's okay to be vulnerable creates a wedge in his potential "thing" with Ayden (coupled with her own issues as well).

Now, in the first Marked Men book, I had zero problems with Shaw. I thought she was a great character with a good head on her shoulders. For the most part. She did a couple things that grated my nerves, but nothing like Ayden. I was ready to toss Ayden off of a cliff at multiple points throughout this book. I found some of her choices to be really stupid and unnecessary. Some of her perspectives on things were unwarranted. And it was SO annoying!

The thing I love about Crownover is her brilliant ability to recognize the pending questions and frustrations that she knows the readers are going to have. She takes those pent up things and has one or many of her characters address the issue. Rowdy, Rule, Shaw and Cora were simply brilliant in this book -- especially when it came to handling Ayden's stupidity. Fortunately, Ayden redeems herself in my eyes. Multiple times.

Overall, this is a wonderfully well-written steamy, sex-filled work of art. Those sex scenes?! Did. Me. In! How could you NOT want Jet to work his musical magic on you?! All. The. Feels.

Another home run for Crownover. My queen of NA.

3.75? I would have liked this more if Ayden wasn't so annoying the first half of the book.

4.5 Stars!!!! OMG! JET! I absolutely love Jet. He is the image of perfection. Tattooed, pierced, rockstar. And even though he was a manwhore (what rockstar isnt), he was a complete sweetheart. He tells it like it is and despite his messed up family background, he pushed to be something other than his a**hole of a father. I felt so bad for him. Ayden was OK. One thing was that I kept getting confused considering I find Ayden to be a boys name but besides that she was so overly dramatic about her "old self" and trying to stay with her "new self". There were times where i was screaming "STOP PUshing him away!!!" SHe did get kind of annoying but I Liked how when they finally got together, Jet was nothing but amazing. I cant wait to read about more marked men. Im excited to read about Rome and Cora. I hate that I have to wait till January to read it. BUt Rule and Jet are on my favorite lists!

I was a little discouraged when I started this shortly after book 1 and realized the story lines were almost exactly the same.

But as the story unfolded, the differences started to stand out. I still won't say I loved this one, but I did enjoy Jet and Ayden's story more so far.

I liked the twist of Asa.
