Lo scoglio più grande che incontro quando leggo i libri di Lisa Jane Smith sono i personaggi. Non riesco a farmeli piacere, anzi, ad un certo punto mi diventano pure antipatici. XD
Tipo Phill, lo avrei letteralmente strozzato anche se in parte comprendevo il perchè del suo atteggiamento.
Inoltre vengono rappresentati in maniera superficiale, quasi banale e non riuscendo a capire come sono fatti non riesco ad entrare in sintonia con loro. Peccato perchè l'idea di partenza del romanzo mi piaceva molto e l'inizio l'ho trovato piuttosto avvincente e frizzante. Purtroppo, però, l'entusiasmo è andato scemando tra una paranoia ed un'altra.
Comunque sono contenta di averlo letto e non mi sarebbe dispiaciuto se ci fosse stato un seguito.

I really really wanted to enjoy this book but it was just so bad. I literally skimmed the entire book because after the first 5 chapters it was annoying and horrible for me.

Call it nostalgia, but I've reread this book numerous times, with the first time being about 8 years ago. Every time I pick it up I just fall in love all over again. While I do notice the problems this book has now that I'm older, I can't deny that I still really enjoy reading it. This will always have a place on my shelf to read again in the future.
