To me this was more of a enemies to lovers than it was a rockstar romance but it didn't make me love it any less. Ty and Hali have to overcome so much it's almost painful to read. I really need Kess' and Vann's story now, I know something is going on with them and I'm here for it. This was my first book by Samantha and now I'm going to go and binge read everything else she has written.

Fabulous read

To finally have Hali's story and understand why she was the way she was made me so happy.

Ty was the perfect balance of arrogance and swagger, dirty words and sex appeal. Together, they were combustible, intense, and completely perfect for each other.
Oh, the banter and sexual tension were exquisite.

I really enjoyed Vann and Kess, they were not only a form of support for our MC's but also provided some levity when needed. I hope we get to see more of them down the road.

And the epilogue? It hints at some great things happening in Folkestone. I can't wait to go back there!

The Sky at Night is the first book in the Heroin Heartbreak series. Samantha Lovelock has done it again! OH!HOW I MISSED HER BOOKS! I was COMPLETELY engrossed in this story, that I finished in a matter of hours! Please heed the trigger Warnings. This may be a spinoff, but to me, I felt this one is a bit darker than the Folkestone Sins. Uggghh, I soooo can't wait for more!

I will be honest and say I forgot I signed up for this book but was pleasantly surprised it was sent to me since I had this book on my TBR for months. I was intrigued by the premise and a sort of new setting for me as a reader as I don't think I ever read anything that focused on healing INSIDE a wellness center.

The two characters are vastly different and grew up in a very different atmosphere/home.

On one hand we had the rich girl who on the outside had it all but was forced and morphed in the dark to become her father’s creature.

On the other hand, we had a poor kid who was raised by his single father who grew up to become a beloved rockstar but suffered from the ghosts of his pasts.

I never compared the two backstories and thought he had it worse or she did. It both shaped them into the people they are today and despite it all wanted to be better, but I don't think Hali herself thought it was ever possible. She endured too much for too long in the hands of her demon of a father to think some sort of light can be returned to her.

The journey for Hali was intense and you saw her be able to finally start to become the person she could of been for years if she was allowed to. The past scenes where we see what her father did were tough to get through.

I really appreciated the friendships they both had outside of their relationship.

The ending was a bit abrupt and vague. It is a HFN for me as we do not get much of a conclusion about their future.

This book is actually connected to Samantha' ''Folkstone'' series which I have not read yet but will one day! I don't know much about those books or how much Hali appears in them but I bet you we will see her villain self in that series a get a good understanding of the things she did firsthand.

The Sky at Night is the first book in the Heroin Heartbreak series. This book is a complete standalone. This book is told from dual points of view from Ty and Hali.

Ty is the lead singer in the band Heroin Heartbreak. When he has a chance run-in with Hali in a coffee shop he is left stunned by the reaction he got from her.

Now they both find themselves at The Overlook. Ty will do whatever he can to get under Hali's skin. But Hali is a tough nut to crack. She won't take his shenanigans and will stand up for what she believes in.

Both are going through their own traumas from the past. Can they help each other get through them? Can Hali get past how her father treated her in the past? What happens when feelings start to evolve?

I loved every minute of Ty and Hali. I can't wait to see what band members we get to read next!

Ahh I absolutely loved The Sky At Night by Samantha Lovelock. This book is written beautifully and left me wanting so much more of this world.

Hali and Ty are both such interesting characters who are trying to deal with their pasts and mental health. As always, Samantha captures the raw side to each character in every book she’s written and the vulnerability everyone feels.

The chemistry between Hali and Ty was
