Not sure what to rate this one, but I expected more. A time loop romance sounded so intriguing but I just felt like could’ve been deepened. The characters were very surface level, and I didn’t love the idea of you only have one family so deal with their shitty behavior. And Jack loved her for such simple reasons, her not liking asparagus and liking mimosas aren’t really reasons to love her, and she fell in love for no reason other than him loving her. Meh. Way too instant lovely for me, and it dragged.

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin for this ARC!

This book was alright. I had some fun times reading it. There were some great scenes and great moments with the characters. It didn't rock my world, I don't know if I'd revisit it, and it definitely had some things I'd change. But yeah - it was fun.

I was hesitant on a time loop trope. My experience with the trope is bad, one of my least favorite books I've read, so I didn't know what to expect. But I did enjoy this one! Jack coming to Gemma already understanding the loop and trying to get her on the same page made a big difference for me and made it a lot more enjoyable. I was rooting for him to get through to her because WOW Gemma did not want to listen to him.

Speaking of Jack and Gemma - Jack? Loved him. Loved him immediately. He was so fun and ya girl loves a simp. Gemma took awhile to grow on me, however. I do think this book could've benefited from her getting on board a bit sooner. I get it's a weird thing and I don't know how quickly I'd believe I was in a time loop, but for the sake of the plot I wish we didn't have to spend so much time trying to convince her of the plot of the book.

In general, and I do hate to say this, I do think this book could've benefited from being a bit shorter. I feel if it was edited down to be maybe 2o-30 pages shorter it would've felt a lot smoother and I wouldn't have gotten to the ending feeling like, "alright ok I'm ready for this to be over now."

All in all, it was a fun RomCom. I had a good time. I hope others will enjoy it as well.

Gemma starts the day feeling a major sense of déjà vu and it just gets crazier when she runs into a guy who claims they are stuck in a time loop. Gemma is a very practical character so the idea of a time loop immediately sends her for a loop. She may feel a connection to Jack, but that doesn’t mean she is the answer to stopping the loop. This story is all about questioning the power of love and is a very cute romance!

This is a groundhog dog-esq book that centres around how one choice can have a domino effect on you and your life and it was just fine. It’s not the best book with this concept that I’ve ever read and I would honestly go as far as saying it has some harmful themes about forgiveness and who deserves your forgiveness. The best character is Lila, the influencer best friend, since she is actually fully flushed out and real. Jack and Gemma seem very 2D in comparison (I mean we don’t even learn his last name until about 75% into the story!)

In all, I think it’s fine, but unless you love the trope, I’d skip it.

What a fun and ridiculous book (complimentary). I generally love time loop stories and this was such a fun take on it. There were some things that i didnt like as much but overall a solid enjoyable book

I love that time loop stories have become really popular in the last few years. I’ve always found it to be a fun trope.

The story starts out with Gemma at a bar celebrating her best friend’s birthday. She winds up meeting Jack and sharing a sweet kiss with him. The next day resets and she bumps into Jack. He tells her how they’ve met before many many times. Obviously she thinks he’s a little crazy but she faintly remembers their time from the night before. It all unravels from there over the span of a day, and boy was it fun and romantic. You couldn’t help but root for Gemma to fall in love with him.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.
