When Gemma physically runs into Jack at her local coffee shop, she thinks that she is just having an unlucky Thursday. But there is something about him that seems so… familiar. That’s when Jack drops a bomb: that they have both been living the same day over and over for the past five months, and that he needs her help to break out of their time loop. Will Gemma believe him? And if she does, can they figure out how to make it to Friday?
This was a cute little read! Nothing life changing or earth shattering, but a great summer romance read! I did like the character improvement that we see throughout the book, but it seem unrealistic at times, and disappointing that Gemma couldn’t make these changes on her own.
All in all, I would recommend to anyone looking for a light romance read!
I received a free digital advance copy via NetGalley for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dear Fellow Reader,
So much to read and so little time! I feel that way all the time. I see books and think “oh, I need to read that.” But then I have such a long list of those books.
Do you get the daily email from Book Bub? It is a horrible thing is you are a book buyer! I say that because most of the books featured are $2.99, $1.99. or $0.99. So easy to spend that small amount of money, right? And that is how my Kindle reader is so full of books to read!
Just to break out of the genre “rut” I have been in lately, I have a book for you that is not a cozy mystery. I don’t think I would call it a romance novel although it might be a romantic comedy.
The Deja Glitch opens with Gemma in a bar celebrating her best friend, Lila’s birthday. Gemma is more of a homebody than her friend. She is thinking of leaving when Lila points out that Gemma has an admirer that she should talk to. Gemma does but still leaves the bar to go home to her dog.
The next morning, Gemma is in a coffee shop and this handsome stranger accidentally knocks into her and dumps her coffee order all over her. They start talking. She feels like he is familiar but isn’t sure how she would know him. But he convinces her to start talking. She is attracted to him, but he seems to know things about her. As the day goes on, he tells her that they have been replaying the same day for months and that he is trying hard to find out how to break their “Groundhog Day” situation.
I liked the book. It was different and well thought out. It was a different premise and had some plot twists that belong in romantic comedies. There is not only the romance between the couple, but we learn about Gemma’s closeness to her brother and her distance from her father.
I think that it is a good book to keep you guessing.
Thanks for reading.

Of all the tropes, the endlessly repeating day is probably the one I hate the most, it makes me anxious and that is the very reason I read the book all in one night. So the story flows, but several times I felt that it was rather repetitive and the reasons why the main characters were fighting only served to write more pages. In short, I'm not really the best person to review this novel.
I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read this eARC!
Unfortunately, this didn't do it for me. I'm not really into time loops but this sounded cute but it was just....meh. I didn't particularly like Gemma and Jack was just okay. The romance was fine. I don't know, it just felt basic and forgettable.

The Deja Glitch is a tale as old as time(loop). Boy meets girl. Boy spills girl’s coffee, copy, paste repeat. For 174 days. This book was so cute and I enjoyed every minute! I reminded me of a classic DCOM - a time loop and an aging rockstar helping our couple get together? What’s not to love! If you need a book to put a smile on your face, The Deja Glitch is a great option!

Recap: Gemma is living a comfortable (and safe) life - she likes to stay in with her books and TV shows, she works as a producer for a radio show, and she guards herself and her heart after getting hurt in her previous relationship. At her best friend Lila's birthday party, she meets a handsome man who immediately captivates her attention - Jack is a writer for TV and cannot take his eyes away from Gemma. At the end of the night, after conversation and flirty banter, Jack kisses Gemma, and sparks are flying. Little does Gemma know that Jack has been living the same day 146 times - and Gemma is the constant in all those days. When she wakes up the next morning (or technically, the same day again) she runs into Jack and has a feeling of Deja Vu - have they met before? Jack is convinced he needs one day to have Gemma fall in love with him and this will break the loop they are stuck in.
Review: The immediate flirtatious energy between Gemma and Jack got me INSTANTLY. This is what I love in a book - great banter, natural chemistry, and engaging characters and story. I had such a great time reading this book - it is quick, funny, clever, and a great read over all! I loved how much the author showed us about the characters and why they are connected to each other - and we learned what makes them who they are. The writing was captivating from the beginning. After the first chapter, I was HOOKED!

It felt the story wasn’t going anywhere. We lost the most interesting part, how the male lead falls for the female lead.
