While I understand the point was that they fall in love in one day, it felt so fast and unrealistic to me. Which was probably the point. But it didn’t work for me.
Tbh if this book had just stuck to “It’s Magic!” As an explanation I’d’ve been fine. But then they roped in the scientist and it was so unlike how any scientist of any value would approach their situation it just hugely turned me off. It didn’t help that I’d just finished reading a science nonfiction book right before this one though.
I found myself skimming for dialogue which I never do.
Overall this was cute but the chapters dragged on forever. It felt a bit like a run on sentence. The plot and story was overall enjoyable though.
