i am a sucker for time loops and jack was so cute i would too fell in love in a day...the monologues each of the characters had were so good and the amount of cliches this book has, yeah i ate them all up. the last few chaps were unnecessary, i wanted more descriptions of their dates and the book was a bit fast paced but still an amazing read

Thank you NetGalley & Penguin Group Dutton for the ARC!

This was so charming! I’ve never read a time loop story before and I liked this so much more than I thought I would. I quickly felt invested in the characters and couldn’t put the book down until I figured out how it all played out.

This was such a fun read. I liked the spin on the “Groundhog Day” book trope since it was from the perspective of the character NOT stuck in the loop.

I love a time loop story! This one wasn’t your typical one - I won’t elaborate because I don’t give much away, but I loved it nonetheless. Jack was so swoon-worthy and charming, Gemma had the perfect amount of wariness in my opinion. I also loved the side characters. All in all, well written, full of heart and fun!

For a time loop book, where the concept to get out of the time loop is the FMC falls in love with the MMC, there is little to no time loop or falling in love.

The characters spend basically no time together during only ONE day of the apparently five month long time loop. And the characters are sooo boring. Even the side characters. And this is just a personal thing, but I'm so over "influencer" characters saving the day by going live. Blugh.

When Gemma runs into a cute guy one day she can’t help but shake the feeling of deja vu she gets when she sees him, even though they’ve never met. But the truth is, she has met him, they’ve been stuck in a time loop and reliving this day for months. Jack remembers them all, but this is Gemma’s first time recalling any part of it. Luckily, Jack has a plan to get them out of this time loop - he is convinced they'll be able to move on to tomorrow if Gemma just falls in love with him by the end of the day.

This might be the most unique time loop story I’ve read and I was here for it. Unlike most time loop stories, we only see one loop instead of many and we get the point of view of someone who is just finding out they are in a time loop rather than the POV of someone who has been aware for days (or even months). I really enjoyed getting to see Gemma figure out what was happening and try to understand Jack’s perspective since he had been stuck for a while. Gemma was sometimes a bit frustrating, but Jack was an incredible love interest and I adored him! This was a fun read to wrap up my month with!

Thanks to Penguin Group - Dutton and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Books with time loops are always interesting - and usually I either love them or hate them(nothing in between), so I'm glad to say I really liked The Deja Glitch by Holly James(comes out on 8/1)!❣️✨ It had an interesting premise that made me immediately request this ARC and what made this different from other time loop stories was the fact that the protagonist - Gemma is unaware that she's stuck in one and most of the story takes place over the course of one day(doesn't involve repeating the same day all over again) and I've got to say that this worked out well for me!

Gemma is a radio producer in LA, who has been wary of dating after a bad breakup and loves to stick to her routine and prefers hanging out with her dog, Rex and her best friend Lila. One day she crashes into a man at a cafe(quite literally while spilling coffee everywhere) and gets this feeling that she might have known him before. And he proceeds to tell her the wildest story that she doesn't believe in - that they've been reliving the same day about 147 times and he knows so many things about her that a complete stranger wouldn't(would be creepy if he wasn't cute lol

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for sharing this ARC.

The Deja Glitch is a cute time-loop romance that takes place in a single day, very reminiscent of "Groundhog Day". While I think the plot was fairly predictable it did not stop me from enjoying the journey that Gemma & Jack experienced together. This is a fantastic, light romance novel that I would definitely recommend!
