This was a cute, fun, lighthearted read. I really enjoyed it! I great start to the year for sure. 🥰

Wow I loved this one! I love a good time loop story, but this one felt unique because it’s from the other persons POV. Watching Gemma trying to figure out if Jack is seriously living the same day over and over again trying to get Gemma to fall in love with him or just completely crazy was so fun. Jack is such a perfect book boyfriend and while this was a little insta-lovey, it was full of sweet moments.

Oh my gosh, where to start! This books was such a fun and adorable read! My friends and I chose this for our book club and we could not have picked a more perfect first book for it! The story follows Gemma as Jack attempts to convince her that they have been stuck in a time loop! I loved how their story unfolds! Lila, Gemma's best friend, was such a fun addition and she really helps Gemma get a push out of her comfort zone! I cannot wait to read what Holly James has next in store!

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC of this book.

I had recently watched a timeloop meet cute movie on Amazon and was left with a bad taste in my mouth so I was quietly sceptical of this book, but I really liked this cute romcom, instalove book. The book took place over a short timeline of 24 hours and it was jam packed. I originally wondered if there should have been a bit more "day do over" for us to see, but I really like how Holly James unravelled this story. I really liked both main characters; Jack seemed great, would have liked to have seen more of how he fell for Gemma and more from his POV but I get why this wasn't the case. All in all a solid read. Devoured in about 4 hours!

Really interesting and well-done concept, but the third time the protagonist did the exact same impulsive/annoying thing and it yielded the exact same undesirable result, I almost DNF'd.

The Facts: time loop, he falls first, meet cute, romcom

Gemma and Jack have met before. Multiple times. In fact, they're living the same day over and over again. Jack's pretty sure Gemma is the key to get out of this, and he is absolutely in love with her. Poor Gemma is clueless and has no idea what's going on until he kisses her, and everything changes.

I cannot say how much I love this book because it is literally impossible BUT I WILL TRY.

It was so good. Like literally so good. This book was everything I freaking needed, and I'm so happy I bought a physical copy because I had to tab so many things.

I'm a sucker for time loop things. Jack, our MMC, was so dedicated to Gemma. His love and adoration was clear in every scene, and him getting Gemma to try to believe him that they were in a loop while also trying to get her to fall in love with him gave me so much angst; it was perfection. I loved Gemma and Jack's interactions. They were exactly what each other needed in life. The last 50 percent of the book was just so fun and unique, I truly loved every second of this! And the side characters were really chef's kiss.

Do I recommend this one? Hells yeah I do.

Gemma Peters leads a pretty low key life since distancing herself from her famous father…and her fame mongering musician ex. Instead, she prefers spending her time focused on her work- and hanging with her loyal Labrador, Rex and best friend, Lila.

Then one day, Gemma meets a handsome stranger at a coffee shop. Only said stranger seems to already know Gemma by name-and know a lot about her. While part of her is creeped out, Gemma also can’t help but feel a certain sense of deja vu when she’s around Jack. Jack knows why, but is burdened with the task of convincing Gemma of the truth. Now it’s up to him to test his theory to stop history, otherwise history is doomed to, quite literally, repeat itself.

The Deja Glitch is the latest in the “let’s do the time warp again” trend. A mashup of 50 First Dates meets See You Yesterday, this is a cute rom com, even if it’s hard to make a story about relieving the same day feel fresh and new. Gemma’s relationship with her estranged father adds an undercurrent to the necessity of getting things right, the scarcity of getting a second chance being something we can all relate to.

It was fine. ***ARC Review***

I didn't love it but there wasn't anything glaringly wrong with it. I normally love time loop books, but I got frustrated about half way through when I realized that these characters were in a time loop, but the reader only gets to see that in the prologue. I would have loved to have at least a couple of the loops shown on page. Because the reader didn't get to see the different time loop days, the romance just didn't hit like it should have. It felt rushed (Yes I understand she has to fall in love in a day, but it would have been nice to see a few failed attempts).

I just wish this would have been more. It was a great premise and a good overall story, but because of the story structure it just didn't hit like it should.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dutton for the eARC! I’ll start with what I liked about this book: the title is clever, the premise is interesting, the ending and epilogue are very cute!
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the book for me. It felt like insta-love with underdeveloped characters and there wasn’t much time travel involved even though that’s heavily highlighted with the title and tagline. I would’ve loved to see more repeats of the day and more of Jack’s perspective and how he grew as a person and fell in love with Gemma. The side characters were caricatures and added nothing to the story. Lila felt like a mere plot device. While the way this was done was unique I think the execution lacked depth and I found myself disappointed in this. 2.5 stars!

This book was really good, i was bawling my eyes out at the ending, and it was a pretty refreshing take on the time loop trope. I really liked Jack as the MMC, he was so down for Gemma (the "he falls first" here was chef's kiss) all of the shenanigans that they got into were so fun, and the development was there and it felt well done since everything plays out in a single day. I wish we couldve seen more about Patrick, he was the one that made me cry my eyes out at the end and I really liked him as a character, I think it would be a good idea to have another book with him as the MMC in Lagos, or whatever setting. Or maybe with Lila!

Anyways, really enjoyable, funny, made me emotional and pretty easy to read tbh.
