loved every single second of this

This was such an amazing book that takes place in a 24-hour loop where Jack needs to get Gemma to fall in love with him. Usually, I’m not a huge fan of time loop stories because they aren’t usually written well but James changed that for me. This book was greatly written with a great storyline and fantastic pacing. I loved the style of the writing and was really into the story. The conflicts were fun and I loved seeing the Hollywood side of the world.

This book is only written in Gemma’s pov which I wish we also got Jack’s. Gemma was a fun character who doesn’t know about the time loop. I liked her development and reading her story. Jack knows about the time loop and knows Gemma is the key so he stalks her. He was a very mysterious character until the end where you learn more about him. He also had great character development. The side characters were fun and I loved seeing some “Hollywood” stars in the book. The romance is very light and a romcom style with strangers to lovers and he falls first. The romance could have been better but it wasn’t bad.

The ending was well done and cute. The story was fantastic and the author did an incredible job with the book. I totally recommend checking this book out.

*this arc was sent to me by the publisher to give an honest review in return*

Gemma is out with her best friend Lila. Lila nudges Gemma to speak to a guy at the bar who turns out to be Jack. They hit it off and end up kissing by the end of the evening.

The next morning, Gemma runs into Jack at the coffee shop. He ends up telling her he knows her, and saying they’ve met before.. many times… and they’re stuck in a time loop. What happens next is very cute!

This was a sweet romance. Reminded me a lot of the Palm Springs movie with Andy Samberg. I thought Gemma was relatable and Lila made me laugh. Jack is a little too perfect, but I loved how much he cared for Gemma. The grand gesture at the end was adorable. The conflict with the father did feel a bit forced, but overall it worked. No spicy scenes, if you’re looking for those! I did enjoy the book and it was a quick read.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gemma needs to fall in love in one day. Jack has been reliving the same day over and over and Gemma doesn't remember him. Gemma doesn't believe that Jack is telling her the truth so they go through a lot to figure out how to get time back on track. Gemma faces her fears and gains so much from doing so. This book was very well written and I enjoyed reading it. I finished it in a single sitting and highly recommend! It was a very cute story and I am glad to have gotten the chance to receive an early copy of it!

3.5 - solid book

honestly really enjoyed it. i’ve never really been a fan of the time loop trope mainly cause authors tend to use it as an excuse to rewrite the same sentences over and over in my experience but this one focused only on one day and even mentioned how clitched the story is

i will say that i had to put blinders on for some of the plot points explaining the loop and in general for the way the characters spoke but overall the plot was decent and the character development was great

this book was everything that i wanted and more jack was such a jem he was the one stuck in the loop and for five whole months he slowly and surely falling in love with Gemma, but then she also gets stuck in the loop and let me tell you the absolutely growth she has in this one day is just astronomical and i just want this book to be injected into my veins i loved every single second of it and def. want to do a reread sometime soon.
