Gemma hasn’t really dated since her musician-ex used her to meet her rockstar father, then dumped her. When she literally runs into Jack one morning at the coffee shop, she thinks maybe fate is doing her a favor with this cute guy. But – how does he know her name? And why is there a feeling of déjà-vu when she looks at him? According to Jack, they have been reliving this Thursday for months, and he believes if he can get her to fall in love with him, their time loop will end.
I like this play on a time loop, where we see the perspective of the person who doesn’t remember the repeating days. The characters are all lovable and well-written, and you just can’t help but root for the happy ending that you know is coming. I highly recommend this book to those who like clean romances!
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an ARC of this book.

Gemma is at her best friend’s birthday party when she runs into a cute guy named Jack at the bar. At the end of a really good night as he’s walking her to her ride, he says he’s going to test a theory, and he kisses her. That kiss starts a chain of seemingly familiar events for Gemma. She has a feeling of deja vu the next morning and then when a guy runs into her at the coffee shop, it’s Jack, and he tells her they’ve been stuck in a time loop for months. Gemma has a hard time believing him at first but she sort of remembers the kiss from the night before. Then, Jack tells her that to break the loop, he has to get her to fall in love with him. The time loop in this story is evident from the very beginning, so the readers are thrust right into the action. The time loop is a fun addition to the story, but it’s not overly explained with science fiction level rules. The main focus is Jack and Gemma and their budding relationship. The insta-love, social media live streaming, and airport love confessions are a bit cringey, but ultimately this romance is an enjoyable, quick read.

Great story of how love will pull you together no matter how.
4 stars / This review will be posted on goodreads.com today.
Such a fun fantasy/time loop/romance novel! I finished this one pretty quickly because it was making me wonder ‘what’s next?’ On every single page.
Gemma Peters is stuck in a rut. She seems okay, good job, wonderful dog, amazing best friend. About a year ago she was dumped by her ex when his career took precedence over her. Nick, the ex, apparently just wanted to get in Gemma’s daddy’s good graces. Because Nick wants to be a big star, and Gemma’s daddy is the one who could get him there.
Today, she will run into a man in a coffee shop that just might break Gemma out of this rut. Jack is handsome, smart, funny. But when he knows who Gemma is, and she has no idea who he is, things are a little creepy. He seems oh so normal, until he tells Gemma that they’ve been repeating this day for months now. Gemma feels the deja vu, but seriously? How can you even imagine that you’re stuck in the movie Groundhog Day?
Utterly adorable novel about forgiveness, love, friendship. One of those books that will simply make you smile over and over again.
Definitely recommend for chick lit lovers.

I will start with a quote from chapter 14. "She'd had front-row tickets to plenty of shows plenty of times in her life, but watching the set from behind the scenes was an unrivaled experience. It was like being inside a living thing."
Yes, I've also been in lots of front rows including many at the Hollywood Bowl and behind the scenes once, but alas not the Bowl. There is a magic to being so close to Rock Gods, Folk Gods and even Classic Music. That being said, I really enjoyed Holly James's previous book, and expected another nice happy Rom Com however, this book was a hundred steps above them all. I read this on the flight cross country today and was laughing out loud! This just made me so very very happy. If you like happy books, this is it! Maybe somewhat predictable, but, wonderful!!

The Deja Glitch is a super cute time loop romance where HE falls first. I really enjoyed watching Jack & Gemma's relationship build over time but also all in one day if that makes sense. There were a couple spots that felt a bit slow but are easy to power through. Side note: the cover is SO lovely and fits the story nicely.

It's a cute story, it reminded me of a less sciencey version of A Quantum Love Story that I read last year.
