Just wasn’t feeling it, after the good first chapter.
4.99 stars!!!!!!!
This book was adorable and I absolutely loved it. I really liked that it had a bit of a twist on the typical take of groundhog's day. I also really liked that while this is definitely a rom-com, there is more than romance involved. There is self reflection and even healing from past traumas. I loved that we get to watch the main character grow as well as see them fall in love in 24 hours.
You're probably wondering what the .01 star being taken away is about. It's just one scene. Literally one paragraph. It just felt weird and random. The main character drops an F-bomb, which, it's not a big deal, but up until that point, the characters didn't curse really ever. Even the characters acknowledge that it's weird and it just felt out of character? I'm not sure, but honestly, it was such. blip that it didn't even really make that big of a difference to me.
The best friend in the book? She needs her own book. She was so lovely and wonderful. I would love to see a story on her. The main character and the love interest were literal goals but I feel like her bestie and the delivery driver guy have an epic story waiting to be told.
All in all, can't wait for this book to be released because I will be first in line to purchase. I loved this book. love. LOVED. And I will bully everyone into reading it without shame.

Red flags are charming to the main character, everyone is superficial and celeb obsessed in a very LA way. But I enjoyed the premise!
Adorable and well-passed. A fresh take time loop scenario.
Note: I received this ARC from Net Galley.
A fun and charming look at the "Living the Same Day Over and Over Again" trope. Gemma and Jack are adorable, and you root for them right from the start. TI enjoyed the relational dynamics between Gemma's friends, coworkers, and family; made for a really fleshed-out story that allowed for more than their romance to be the driving force of this book.
As a Los Angeles native, it was also fun to have familiar landmarks mentioned...even if the most unrealistic element of this book for me was that they could get to them all in one day given LA traffic. :)

I really enjoyed this book. It was not a typical, predictable book. The characters were well developed, and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Highly recommend!
In this book we have Gemma and Jack who get stuck in a time loop; doomed to repeat the same day over and over again. The only way to break the loop? Our main characters must fall in love in one day.
I’ve only read one other time loop book so I’m new to this type of story line but this one didn’t really feel very loop-y? However, I thought it was a cute read overall.
There were a couple things I didn’t love, and the first thing was the long chapters. It’s probably just a personal preference but any book with long chapters, I just feel like they drain me so quickly if the story isn’t high paced. But I feel like that’s a me problem?
The second thing was there was so much that happened that I would forget it was all happening in one single day and that kept me from being able to fully submerse myself in the story.
The character development was okay. I wasn’t super in love with Gemma or Jack, but I will say how much I loved Gemma’s best friend Lila. She made such a great side character. So if Holly ever decided write a story for her, I would immediately jump on the chance to read it.
Thank you Penguin Group/Dutton and Netgalley for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute romance about a man, Jack, who is stuck in a time loop. He realizes that Gemma, a girl he has run into countless times in his glitch, might be the key to getting him unstuck.
This genre can get repetitive (think of Groundhog Day) and boring but this one is unique in the characters only live one day in the span of the book. There were some incredibly cheesy moments and a third act breakup but overall a very refreshing, short, and enjoyable read!

I actually really enjoyed reading this! I thought with the time loop troupe would get boring and repetitive but I really think the author did a great job keeping it fresh. Thanks again for an e-arc! Looking forward to more this author has to offer!
