Couldn't get into this one. It just wasn't my style at all.

This book was not what I was expecting! The premise is that there is a man who can live forever as long as he stays on the island of Manhattan. However, a substantial part of the book follows his childhood in Ireland and crossing the Atlantic before coming to New York City. I enjoyed getting learn about New York through the years and that different populations were featured. There was love and drama, but I was not satisfied with the ending. Still a great read for descriptions of New York and adventure.

It’s interesting enough, but very slow. I’m not motivated to pick it up.

DNF. This book is aptly named because forever is the approximate amount of time I felt like it would take to finish it! The premise is interesting but there are far, far too many details and pages.
