A good book, but it was hard to follow at first. The author spent more time talking about details and scenery that I would like. But, I good hooked. Not sure about the ending.

Too descriptive in my opinion. Part 1 was technically more ambitious and not sure if all in Part 2 was relevant. I liked the story plot and the metafictional element in it. A different type of a crime novel. Be aware that the book contains descriptions of terrible injuries.

Oh the first teenage forays into introspection and perspective (do other people’s minds function the same way mine does?), the « dawn of self-hood ».
Loved the last bit of the PS especially : there shall be no atonement for God or novelists, even if they are atheists. The attempt was all.
Exercise in style and morality, above plot or character development outside of Briony.
