I often almost yawn when it comes to reading sci-fi. I don't know why. I just find the very word 'alien' boring but I nonetheless picked up this book to read. only because stephenie is one those writers who I have now come to trust and surely enough, she didn't disappoint. I know her books lack a certain depth that some people prefer but I like these kind of light reads and therefore I loved this book. it is a bit boring to start with but slowly and gradually it builds up a strong story and takes the reader into her world. I hope that she turns it into a trilogy as she said she would in her interview.

I liked the idea, but this was executed poorly. Something wasn’t catching.

I loved this book, nearly as much as the Twilight series. Meyer does a great job with an adult novel, and I am definately interested in seeing what else she has for the adult reader!

This is one of my oldest book and I’ve put off reading it for so long but I’ve finally done it. It was so good and unique. Some parts of the book were a little boring but the plot as a whole was so good and I loved all the characters. I was happy to see some differences from the movie.

Opposition, prejudice, community, human, humane, love, hate, acceptance. A book with this many themes is definitely worth reading. It took me about 300 pages to really get into it, but worth it.

If you've read Twilight - then you've read this. Nonetheless..it was still an enjoyable read!
