I potentially would have liked this more if I read it in print rather than listening to an audiobook because the narrator wasn’t my favorite BUT something about it fell a little flat for me. I like the concept of exploring mental health and existential crises and such but it didn’t totally land.

idk im a bit conflicted. i think i liked this book because of the writing and cause it was just really unique in its narration? but i just had a bit of a different expectation that what it turned out to be so i was a tiny bit disappointed. i really really liked the ending tho!!

Emily Austin I think you might be my favorite author. I feel lucky I’m in the same time stream as you. I love that these books are simultaneously mundane and mysterious, entertaining and dark, warm and hopeful. There’s just so much here to love. I know it won’t be everyone’s type of read, but it’s certainly mine.

As somebody with mild anxiety this book honestly sent me to some places I did not want to go but in a very good way? Hhmmmmm still was a dark read into someone's extreme anxiety...well anyways it was a good read for those who want a touching hitting close to home feeling for those of us that think to much! Great ending and honestly there was so much chaos the whole time it did make the book fun to read, you grow to truly feel so bad for Gilda, but also at the same time you learn that there are others like her out there that work on different ways. TDLR; lesbian murder mystery novel taken place in a Catholic church's Secretary office where the main character's anxiety takes them on quirky adventures to finding the true culprit of the murder.
