girl who is not going to be okay…

this was one of those books i consistently kept putting off (i cannot tell you why), but i’m kicking myself for doing so. austin captures *exactly* what it feels like to be depressed and anxious, and how that shapes the way you think/act for the wellbeing of others vs yourself. the stream of consciousness concerning the mundane and “small” misunderstandings/inconveniences is natural, never does it feels forced, rather it shows how gilda gets from point A to B (i.e., spirals, snowballing).

i wanted to give this a 4 but the choppy structure threw me off at times, so 3.75 it is

Feeling so conflicted and may come back and change to 4 stars ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I liked this book but found the end very rushed (maybe that was the point?). Either way, I would recommend it.
