Loved the premise of this book: depressed gay girl working in a church and (kinda) figuring out a mystery of the person working before her. Gilda is all of us in someway: awkward, self conscious, anxiety-ridden, depressed, etc. I loved the mystery/drama aspect of Gilda figuring out about the old woman working before her. Gilda’s relationship with her sibling was heart wrenching and beautiful. Also a book that drove me to tears. Hope to see more of this kind of stuff from this author!

I really enjoyed this, it feels like such a unique novel. I also don’t remember the last time I related so much to a main character, which I guess may be good or bad (or somewhere in-between) depending on how you feel about this book.

I related to way too many parts of this book

Totally unexpected. A delightful, well-paced story set in St. Thomas, Ontario (London representttt). Perfectly narrated by Emily Tremaine.

Gilda’s anxiety gave me anxiety :( Loved her though, just too real 4 me!
