Loved this from beginning to end. Great coming of age, extending into the 30s. The main character is flawed but a great narrator. Tender and poignant.

Upon reading the description of this book, I feel confused. I fully thought it was the author’s memoir (I’m in a memoir mode and i read it on kindle so I wasn’t always looking at her name on the cover page). Either way it was extraordinarily average. I know you’re supposed to show not tell but sometimes I would like some words of substance instead of inference.

I thought the ending left some to be desired. There was no resolution with her family situation, who she chose to marry, etc. It just fell off.
But well written! I'd try the author again.
