This book says nothing of hunting, nor does it teach you how to fish

This book was really intense for me--it's probably better written than the "2" I gave it, but I really didn't enjoy it at all.

I just loved this book. I had been so wrong at not reading it previously as it's cover suggested a shallow, easy-read romance to me. I couldn't have been more wrong. It is witty, smart and so sharp. It comprises interconnected stories that reek of memoir at different life moments of our protagonist, Jane. They are formative moments in traditional and quirky ways so far away from the obvious that they stir up the best sparse characterisations of Raymond Carver and Muriel Spark.

I found that the self-investigation of her own awkwardness - as a teen and as an adult, completely magnetic. She festers or shrugs off her life habits with sardonic humour as she perpetually goes against the grain.

What could have been a slight novel digs deep into the female psyche of not being good enough and reveals that brilliance can best be found on the sidelines.

The only reason I stuck with this one was because of a long plane trip - it did not live up to it's hype

This easy read was delightful, fun, and refreshing! There was only one chapter that I thought made no sense, and the book would have done just fine without it. But overall, a nice chick-lit book.

Melissa Bank's book it's about a girls life from when she was little until her late 20s (I think, they never say how old she is in any of the stories) figuring out herself, life and love. It's a bunch of different experiences that made her who she is. Heartbreak, lost, little events and it felt so close to my heart. I mean, I think every girl could write a book about stories they experienced and were so important for who they are now.

The writing is beautiful, Jane is such a good character and it's impossible not to like her (I truly see myself in her). Definetely gonna read this books in a few years and see myself in another part of Jane's story and I can not wait.

Chick-lit, yes, but i have read it again and again and always enjoy it.
