This is my reset book. The book I read when my brain is a little fried. It’s well written and touches upon some truths about how we learn to love and receive love. It was interesting reading this book right after Three Women because there seemed to be parallels between the protagonist and Sloane.

I am going to buy this book - it’s great. It’s short stories, but not. Its a novel, but not. I think the author has used dialogue incredibly well. It’s the style of writing I really like.
I am enjoying books I’ve just picked randomly from the library!

This book was not what I was expecting at all. I was expecting the standard, stereotype chick lit and it was most certainly not that. The stories of love and relationship are not all romantic and not all are happy with a big red bow. It has a more realistic spin on it and Jane, who is the one constant throughout is likable and someone you can actually relate to. I flew through it and was a pleasant surprise. I also think that this book fell into the right book at the right time sort of thing as well. Where I am right now just could fall into an easy connection with this.
This is a novel that is deeper than it seems on the surface. I laughed so hard because the pain was true. Makes me hate men. The inclusion of one of my favorite poems ever, “One Art” by Elizabeth Bishop really drives home this point of living with the pain of being a woman and becoming stronger because of it.
