As a teen services librarian with 12 years under my belt, I’m delighted to see DC and Marvel finally making an effort to write comics that appeal to more than just the cis het white male demographic. I’m even more pleased when the characters are funny and snarky and talk and look like real teens. Don’t like cursing? Well you probably haven’t been reading any young adult novels in the past 20 years. Or hanging out with teenagers

trust mariko tamaki to write teenagers! wonderfully funny and though it's a familiar set-up this still felt fresh and interesting. i especially appreciated the plot structure (that the story didn't just drop off after the climax). pays homage without being annoying about it. so fun to read!

Credit where credit is due - Nightwing was drawn with an amazing tush.

Real quick read, def not the best but it was sort of entertaining

This was a super enjoyable - A really great standalone DC comic about a coming of age superhero. Whilst set in the Teen Titans universe it really could have been any coming of age story, beautiful art and a truly down to earth story.

Ehh this was not my favorite of the DC YA graphic novels. As much I love Starfire I cannot say the same about Mandy. I understood why Mandy was so mad at students but her mom. I just didn't get why she was so mad at her. I enjoyed the art style over all. But I did not really like the plot/villain of the story it just to come out of no where and in a way convenient for the story. I wanted to like this book more but just didn't.

Mariko Tamaki ne me déçoit jamais.
