I felt like a lot of the tropes were unnecessary. Age gap, fine. I didn’t think it was necessary that she was 17 for half of it and I didn’t think it was necessary that they were “family”. I know they weren’t related by blood, but for me I wanted her to talk about that more so I could have been more invested in the relationships.

I didn’t want her to end up with any of them because I didn’t feel a connection with any of them. Especially not Kaleb. The fact that he’s who she fell in love with seemed like it came out of left field. I felt no spark or connection between them whatsoever so it was a let down. The only relationship I semi liked was her and Noah but even that fell short.

If I could brainwash myself to forget the content of this book, I would ask where I could sign immediately. I do not trust anyone who says they liked this book-- to each their own. This was not my cup of tea.

This author is great at writing tension. Even though the love interests were VERY TABOO, the sexual tension was so well-written that I was rooting for them - but then once the actually smut started, I kind of lost interest. The ending didn't really work for me. I probably should have just stopped after chapter 23.

Apart from all the triggers I love that somehow they have talked about how broken each character are and how they have become and who they were at present.

The way they have changed and became a much better person in the end is something that made the story stick even more in my head.

But yes, there are a lot of triggers to be considered before reading such as rape.
