If you're a parent, have you ever been asked what would you do for your child? This book answers that and turns out, it's a lot.
It took me a second to get into the book because the beginning starts off so abruptly but the story is good it keeps you entertained, a little anxious, and wanting to turn the page. I appreciated the ending and overall enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would.

I’d heard a lot about this book and came to it with high expectations because of the hype.
The concept was high and communicated effectively with protagonists that were easy to care about/empathise with.
I did wonder if the book could maintain the level of interest throughout, especially as it reached a potential stopping-point about half way through.
It did a good job working to a resolution with interesting reveals of backstory for some of the characters using flashbacks. I did get a little confused about what was going on in places but got there in the end so it could have been my fault.
In summary; Decent but not world changing.

Read it in three nights. Horrible concept and fast paced to keep me turning the pages. Felt it got a bit silly at the end but still enjoyed it.
Finished it within 24 hours bc I was in quarantine. I think it would’ve been a quick read either way though. A little drawn out and convoluted at times, and predictable at a certain point. Interesting mystery overall and unlike anything I’ve read before.
